Apply for a work permit (refugee claimant)

You need a work permit to work in Canada. If you asked for one in your online claim, you do not need to apply again. IRCC only issues it after your claim is found eligible and you pass your medical exam. If you did not ask for one, you can apply separately. There is no fee if your claim is eligible.
