Register for Alberta Health Care Insurance (AHCIP)
AHCIP pays for medically necessary doctor and hospital services. Register within 3 months of arriving in Alberta. Take the Application form for AHCIP Coverage (AHC0102) and your original documents to any registry agent office.
What you'll need
- Your passport
- Your PR card, or your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR)
- Proof you live in Alberta, such as a rental agreement or a utility or phone bill
- Completed Application form for AHCIP Coverage (AHC0102)
